About Warhorse
Our story
Warhorse was founded to lift a barrel of oil out of the ground cheaper than anyone else. We launched in 2020, just before COVID — the first year was very difficult, but it led to some great opportunities. Since then, we've grown to be among the largest producers of oil in Greenwood County, Kansas.
Where we've created the most value is finding wells that had deferred maintenance — wells that could be brought back to service if it was done the right way.
Over five years, we've built a fully integrated service company. Rigs, pump trucks, mud pumps, swivels, a water truck, and cement equipment — enough iron to tackle most every problem we see on our own leases and on the leases of operators around us.
Now we're carrying that founding principle into the 21st century. We've built internal apps using AI that streamline how we run the company. Automation is starting to reach wells that have been pumped the same way for a hundred years. Every tool we build and every process we tighten serves the same original goal — pulling barrels out of the ground at a lower cost than anyone else can.
We've parlayed a humble beginning into a 100-plus-barrel-a-day oil company with a service side to boot.

Where we work
Our headquarters and yard are in Eureka, Kansas. Our leases, rigs, and crews all sit within an hour's drive — Greenwood, Butler, Cowley, Chase, Coffey, Woodson, and the surrounding counties.
Concentration is part of the operating model. Tight geography means crews mobilize fast, equipment moves cheap, and we know the local landowners, regulators, and operators by name.
Counties of operation
Service work routinely extends across SE Kansas. Mobilization quotes available on request.
